Amazing!! Life-like Food Paintings that make You Want To Drool

Feast your eyes on these amazing paintings by hyper-realist artist Tom Martin from Rotherham,  England. They look so good that at first glance you could bet they are photographed pictures of delicious food.

As you can probably imagine, creating this kind of realistic depictions take a great deal of time and patience. Tom Martin spends around two months painstakingly working on a single one of his pieces in his quest to depict what is real to the best of his abilities. Not surprising, each piece sells for as high as £17000 ($25000) or a whooping N3, 938, 000....

Most of his works focus on food, but you might notice there aren’t any greasy burgers and pizzas displayed in his paintings. “I focus on food and its content because it plays a very big part in my life at the moment,” the artist explains.
“I am a keen fitness enthusiast and along with that comes a healthy diet and the science of learning how your body uses carbohydrates and proteins.”
You will however find bowls of delicious-looking fruit cereal, toast and marmalade, and even small guilty pleasures like waffles and ice-cream.

10 Major Culprits Behind Hair Breakage and Tips to Prevent Hair Breakage

In this post, we will be taking a look at ten silent killers that wreak havoc on our hair day in and day out. Many of them are seemingly innocuous, and we don’t think about the damage we are causing until we see hair in the sink and our overall length shortening. Others, are more obvious. As you read, I hope you learn something

10.) Pulling hair too tight.

Whether you’re putting your hair in a ponytail, getting braids, or even wearing protective styling, you are pulling on your hair. Some of us tend to pull harder than others — especially when it comes to those gosh darn edges. Nothing is more annoying than a lumpy messy ponytail when you are going for a sleek look, but think about the undue stress you are causing your hair; especially your edges. Yeah, remember when folks used to say “She don’t got no edges”? They have a name for it now. Traction alopecia, and it’s very real. Don’t be fooled into thinking it’s just a Black women’s hair issue — any woman that styles their hair off of their face (or gets braids/weaves) is at risk. Avoid tugging ponytails and other hair inside of clips/fasteners outward (to tighten it). Remember to always keep your edges moisturized. To compensate for that pull-back, try using a product that will make your edges cooperate without having to secure them so tightly. Lastly, don’t ever go to bed with your hair still in a ponytail or clipped back.

9.) The wrong kind of scrunchies and clips.

The only thing worse than a too-tight ponytail or a slicked-back to hell look is one done with the wrong kind of equipment. Hopefully, you know by now that rubber bands are not a good look. Wanna know why? Place a rubber band on your forearm (near your elbow) and push it down to your wrist. You feel those arm hairs catching? Just imagine that on your head. Please also know that all scrunchies are not created equal. Metal fasteners get easily caught on hair and will yank it out just as much as a rubber band (and quite painfully so). Don’t believe me? Go into the bottom of your hair drawer and see how much hair is balled up on your old metal-fastened scrunchies

8.) Big Perm.

You can smell perm being mixed up from 30 miles away. But that’s not the only reason it does serious damage to your hair. When you apply a perm to your hair, you are allowing carcinogenic chemicals to penetrate your hair shaft and literally break the bonds that create your hair’s curly texture…permanently. Any chemical, with lye or not, would have to be pretty darn strong to bend genetics. This is what makes perms especially damaging to our hair: hair that is naturally curly is inherently weaker (because each bend in your strand of hair is a potential breaking point), and we protect these breaking points by making the natural hair as resilient as possible and essentially shielding the weak points. When you perm, you basically expose the weak points and make them weaker. Not to mention, if you leave it on for too long you will have no hair.

7.) Doing too much with dye.

I know, I know, you’re trying to keep up with Beyonce’s blonde, Rihanna’s red, and Nicki Minaj’s wig switch routine. Do you know what price your hair is paying for your coloring whims? if you are going for a light hair color, see a professional. However, if you are looking for a little tint and some great shine, cellophane and henna are two great options.

6.) Being heat-happy.

I’m not saying to give up heat completely — just be very careful and monitor your intake. When going from natural to straightened, be sure to use a heat protecting spray or serum along the way. I am a fan of Tresemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Spray and Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti-Friz Serum. Also, avoid unnecessary heat whenever possible. If you can avoid blow drying and air dry your hair instead, do so. Instead of automatically cranking your flat iron up to 450 degrees, start off at a lower setting so that you can achieve the same results without overdoing it.

5.) Underconditioning.

Conditioners are really your hair’s first line of defense in terms of moisture and strength. Whether you are going natural or applying heat after a shampoo, conditioner should always be your second step. Also try to deep condition monthly, to give your hair a little extra love…Try Palmers Coconut Oil Deep Conditioning Protein Pack.

4.) All cotton everything.

Do not let anything cotton or cotton-esque come anywhere near your hair. Whether you’re trying your edges down, or covering your hair at night, cotton is not the way to go. Cotton is incredibly absorbent, and if you tie your hair up in a cotton bandana or lay down at night on a cotton pillowcase (without your hair tired up), the oils and moisture will be sucked right out of your hair — leaving it dry, brittle, and prone to breakage. Invest in a satin scarf. If you’re feeling real fancy, skip the hair covers and grab a satin pillowcase.

3.) Blame it on the a-a-a-a-a-alcohol.

At least the bad ones. Alcohols found in hair products are definitely bipolar — ranging from good for you fatty alcohols like cetyl to not-so-hot alcohols like SD or ethyl. For the purposes of this entry, we’re discussing those not-so-hot alcohols that can often be the culprits behind drying and brittle hair. These alcohols are commonly found in styling products used to provide hold — like gels and hairsprays.

2.) Naughty naughty petroleum and mineral oil.

I know, these are key staples in your favorite moisturizing products aimed at providing hair moisture, growth, and repair. Don’t believe the hype. Petroleum aka vaseline not only clogs your pores and slows growth, it also acts as a sealant. Sealant’s aren’t bad in and of themselves — they keep moisture inside the hair shaft and also block moisture from getting inside as well. If your hair is already dry, and you look to a petroleum-laced product to give you moisture, guess what? You’re in for a rude awakening. The petroleum effectively blocked any chances your hair had to soak up some moisture from other sources. Mineral oil aka baby oil may actually be the worse of the two.

And the number one most egregious offense we commit that wreaks havoc on our hair is…. :::drumroll, please:::

1.) HOLDING ON TO FRAZZLED ENDS.

More often than not, women are afraid to have a pair of scissors come anywhere near their hair in an attempt to preserve length. Unfortunately, that logic works against your hair being all that it can be. Split ends don’t just stay at the ends of your hair. They continue to mosey up your shaft until it splits in two or breaks — rendering your hair twice as weak. Not to mention, split-end damage hair is dull, lifeless, and doesn’t hold curl or style well. Conventional wisdom dictates that you cannot undo a split end. (In a future blog, we will explore to what extent this is true. But for now, we shall regard it as such). All we can do with damaged ends is cut gradually, and invest more in protecting ends. Once your ends get on track, you will notice your hair is thicker, fuller, has more body, and holds curls and styles well. Traditional recommendations say to trim your ends every 6-8 weeks, but I am a fan of a more personalized approach. Assess your ends. How damaged are they? Come up with a trimming schedule that gets them healthy on your time, and at a length you are comfortable with.

Wishing you a happy, healthy head of hair!!!

9 WAYS TO MAKE YOUR GUY LISTEN TO ANYTHING YOU SAY ...

Believe it or not, guys aren't deaf and there are many ways to make your guy listen. No one likes being ignored, especially when trying to say something important. While everyone I know has their own methods, you can get amazing results through a few tried and true ways to make your guy listen.

1. PAY ATTENTION TO HIM

After talking to a some guy friends, I was surprised to find out one of the reasons they tune out is because they're ignored. It's easy to get caught up talking about your day and forget to ask about his. One of the easiest ways to make your guy listen is by listening to him. You'll make him feel important and he'll be inclined to return the favor by listening to what you say. You will be amazed at how sensitive guys are and listening is as important to them as it is to you.

2. STAY ON TOPIC

I'm incredibly random and skip from topic to topic. If you want your guy to listen to something, stay on the topic. The more you change subjects while making a point, the more you get the blank stare. Now, make a point of staying on the topic and being as concise as possible. The result is a guy who can actually repeat what you say, even hours or days later.

3. CHOOSE THE RIGHT TIME

I'm not saying you can only talk to your guy at certain times, but there is a right and wrong time for conversation. Think about how difficult it is for you to pay attention after a hard day at work. If you hit your guy with conversation the moment he walks through the door, he may not hear much of what you say. Wait until he's had a moment to relax and change focus from work to home. Also, it's not even worth it to try to interrupt him when he's engrossed in a TV show, movie or a favorite activity. Choosing the right time means he'll be tuned in to you.

4. DON'T NAG

Start nagging a guy and he'll either go on the defensive or tune out completely. I don't like it when people do it to me, so I know my guy's not going to either. Be respectful, yet authoritative when asking your guy to do something or reminding him about a chore. If he puts you off, explain why it's important. Treating him like an adult instead of a child magically makes his ears start working again.

5. SHARE HIS INTERESTS

I believe in the opposites attract theory. The problem is your interests may not always mesh with his. Even if it's something you're not interested in, listen to him prattle on about the latest sports game or action flick. When it's your turn to talk about fashion trends, he'll be more likely to listen. Sharing interests ensures the conversation is always a two-way street. If he doesn't want to listen, remind him about all the things you listened to and he'll quickly change his tune.

6. GIVE HIM A SIGNAL

Sometimes a guy is so busy with something else that he truly doesn't realize you're talking. I didn't really understand this until I thought about how I tune out distractions when I'm watching an interesting movie or reading a good book. When you need to tell him something important and you want to make sure he listens, give him a signal. Tap him on the arm, lay a hand on his leg or look him straight in the eyes. He knows you want his attention he's happy to comply.

7. TALK ABOUT IT

Get rid of all the distractions and ask your guy why he doesn't listen to you. Some guys don't realize how often they tune their partner out. The problem could be something stressful in his life instead of just him. Being open with your guy helps you both understand each other better so both parties become better listeners.

8. SPEAK UP

If you're a soft spoken kind of girl, speak up a little. Make sure your guy can actually hear you. After all, if he doesn't know you're talking, he isn't going to listen.

9. KEEP IT SIMPLE

While us girls may love hearing a lot of unrelated details, guys aren't that interested. If you don't want him to tune out, keep what you tell him simple and concise. For example, if you want him to do several things, give him a quick, simple list instead of explaining each task in detail and why he needs to do it. Odds are, he'll only hear the first task. Guys hear far more if it's basic without a lot of flair.

Most guys are good listeners if you talk to them correctly. Sometimes you have to remind yourself that he's not one of the girls. While he'll occasionally tune out, it doesn't take much to get his attention again.

What methods do you use to make sure your guy always pay attention when you speak?

Woman Gives Birth To Twins With Different Fathers

I am still going huh????. According to reports from TODAY NEWS, a 20 year old woman from Texas,  Mia Washington has given birth to twins,  each having a different father. Read the full report below.......

Last year, Texas woman, Mia Washington didn’t plan on giving birth to twins but when she did she ended up getting even more than she bargained for — her fraternal sons have two different fathers. You are probably wondering, how did this happen so allow us to explain.

As you know, every month a woman releases one egg from her ovaries that can be fertilized by sperm. As for Washington, she released a pair of eggs. According to Dr. Hilda Hutcherson of Columbia University who reported to TODAY News:

“sperm can remain alive and well and viable for up to five days in the reproductive tract. Thus, a woman can have sex with different men within those five days and the sperm just kind of hang out there waiting for the egg to be released.”

Washington, who is 20 years old,  had sex with another man a few days after she slept with her 44-year-old  boyfriend, James Harrison — hence her double conception. James investigated the issue when he noticed the twins, Justin and Jordan, who were born seven minutes, apart looked very different, even for fraternal twins. He requested a paternity test and discovered Justin was not his child. When Harrison found out the news he was devastated:

“I was hurt, torn apart — didn’t know what the next move was gonna be.”

Although he was hurt, Harrison continued to raise Justin as his own. And despite the odds of a situation like this, this is not the first time twins have been born to different fathers. Studies have revealed 1 to 2 percent of fraternal twin births have different fathers, but this often goes unnoticed. The terminology used to identify this type of birth is called: “heteropaternal superfecundation”. It was reported on first by John Archer who was the first doctor to receive a medical degree in the United States in 1810. Archer dubbed the term when a white woman had sex with two men, black and white  and later gave birth to twin boys. One son was white whereas the other was of mixed race.

As for Mia Washington and James Harrison, they plan on marrying each other in the future. And in the mean time, they will prepare for their new family addition- a baby girl. She will add some sweet and spice to their clan of three boys .

Washington has a 4-year old from a previous relationship....meaning she bore him at 16...how do the yorubas say it...Ooo gaaaaa o!

Top Five Most Controversial Premier League Players Ever

The 21st Premier League is well and truly underway. In this brief article let's take a look at the five biggest lunatics ever to embrace our league.

5. Lee Bowyer

Premier League Clubs: Leeds, Newcastle, West Ham

Bowyer's date with the newspaper front pages began while at Charlton, where he and a teammate tested positive for cannabis. However, much worse was to come during his high-profile spell with Leeds. Firstly, Bowyer was accused of an alleged racist incident at a McDonalds. Then, he and teammate Jonathan Woodgate were charged after an incident outside a Leeds nightclub. Bowyer was eventually cleared following two trials, but an argument with Leeds over his discipline led to his exit.
Controversy seemed to follow Boywer as a mid-match fight with teammate Kieron Dyer earned him a six-game ban and a police conviction for using threatening behaviour. A monstrous 80 yellow cards and five red in the Premier League are almost forgotten in light of his off the pitch antics.

4. Ashley Cole

Premier League Clubs: Arsenal, Chelsea

Ashley Cole in the twilight of his careers has settled down, earning his 100th England cap, and captaining his country on numerous occasions. However, it wasn't his recent antics which got him the label of being controversial.
During his time at Arsenal, he grew an unwanted reputation for diving. This was the start of what was to come as his reputation grew when he switched the red of the Gunners to the blue of Chelsea during the time when he became really unpopular.
His famous quote of feeling "physically sick" at the thought of being offered 'only' £55k-a-week enraged fans. He then attracted the wrath of the football establishment after arrogantly turning his back on Mike Riley, who was trying to book him for a high tackle against Spurs.
Despite being a fairly quiet individual, and a fantastic full-back Cole still managed to anger many when he tweeted calling the FA a bunch of tw*ts' in October 2012.

3. Eric Cantona

Premier League Clubs: Manchester United

Eric Cantona is not only a United legend, he perhaps had the greatest impact of any overseas player in the Premier League. But opposition fans never liked him, principally because he was deemed arrogant and partly because he was an integral component of a dominant side.
Leeds despised him with a passion after he ditched them for their bitter rivals across the Pennines, but Cantona needlessly fanned the flames by idiotically spitting at a Leeds fan at Elland Road. His astonishing flying kung fu kick on a Crystal Palace fan increased his notoriety and saw him banned for nine months. Cantona revelled as a figure of hate, leading United to four titles, two FA Cups and a League Cup.

2. Luis Suarez

Premier League Clubs : Liverpool

Where do we start with the Uruguayan. With great quality comes great stupidity should be the motto surrounding Luis Suarez.
Before his Liverpool days his reputation was not the best, having bitten a PSV player with Ajax he was banned seven matches. With Uruguay, before this cannibalistic episode, in the 2010 World Cup he stopped a ball with his hand to deny Ghana a certain goal to take them through to the semi-finals.
Despite being a wonderfully gifted player, and scoring 30 goals in all competitions for Liverpool last season, the controversy seemed to have followed Suarez, when he allegedly racially abused Patrice Evra and was given an eight match ban in December 2011. After refusing to shake Evra's hand in the reverse fixture that season, he again bit Branislav Ivanovic against Chelsea at Anfield last season and has just completed a 12 match ban. Complete nutter.

1. Mario Balotelli

Premier League Clubs: Manchester City

Well, well, well where do you even start with Mario Balotelli. He came to the Premier League with the reputation of a bad boy sewn into his veins. His first big controversial moment was in Manchester United's embarrassing 6-1 defeat to rivals Manchester City. They derby was intensified after Balotelli celebrated scoring the first goal of the game by lifting up his shirt to reveal another shirt underneath it with the words 'WHY ALWAYS ME?' written across the front.

Then later that season in a key title decider with Tottenham Hotspur, Balotelli appeared to stamp on Scott Parker's head. This enraged Spurs fans as he went on to score the winning penalty and effectively ruin Tottenham's title bid. He went back to Milan in January 2013, but it is fair to say the Premier League will never be the same without him....
So, tell me, is the list apt? Lol.....

Young Woman Tries to Earn Her Engagement Ring by Making 300 Sandwiches for Her Boyfriend

All in the quest to get married, New York Post journalist, Stephanie Smith, truly believes the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. After her boyfriend told her she is 300 sandwiches away from an engagement ring, Stephanie got cooking and started a blog to document her progress. She is currently at sandwich #176.
Stephanie says her relationship to her boyfriend, “Alexander Skarsgård look-alike” Eric, has always been centered on food. They met at a restaurant, he cooked her dinner on their second date, and they’ve hosted numerous dinner-parties together, so she knew how important food was to him. And there was nothing he liked more than sandwiches. “To him, sandwiches are like kisses or hugs. Or sex,” the young journalist says. The two New-Yorkers had been going steady for about a year and even moved into a cozy apartment together, but Stephanie was wondering what it would take for Eric to finally pop the big question. She found the answer one day, after she made him her first sandwich,  turkey on whole wheat bread, with mustard, lettuce and swiss cheese. “Honey,  this is the best sandwich ever!” Eric told her in between bites. When he was done, he dropped the bomb on her: “You’re, like, 300 sandwiches away from an engagement ring.” That was it, the secret to the marriage proposal she had been dreaming of. Stephanie didn’t really know how to cook, but she was willing to learn and she wasn’t one to back down from a challenge.

Smith’s friends weren’t exactly supportive of the idea. “How ‘Stepford Wives’ of you!” one of her single girlfriends said, while another told her “It’s not 1950! It’s chauvinistic! He’s saying, ‘Cook for me, woman, and maybe I’ll make you my wife.’” Even her own mother had some doubts. “Honey, can you even cook?” she asked. But Stephanie wasn’t going to let all the negativity get between her and her goal. Plus, she didn’t share her friends’view of the whole situation. “Some say I’m just desperate to get engaged. Hardly. I don’t have to be,” Stephanie writes on her 300 Sandwiches blog. “Eric didn’t say ‘cook me 300 sandwiches or I’m leaving you!’ He gave me a challenge—a dare, to some degree—and the type-A, Tracy Flick side of me can’t stand being challenged. I will prove to him and the rest of the world I can make the 300 sandwiches.”
Oh Lord! I can’t stop laughing!!!!. Come to think of it, do you guys think he was serious about the statement??

6 Things Men Say and Do When They Want You Back

Although it takes a while to get there, there’s something awesome about that period of time when a woman, post a big breakup, finally gains her peace of mind and full happiness back. You can listen to sentimental and sad love songs without feeling some kind of way, you can talk about your ex without wanting to call him up and go postal (maybe), and you’re either enjoying being alone and independent, or trying your hand at getting back into the dating game. As nice as this place is to be in mentally, I’m sure many women have had an ex who just wouldn’t let her have that peace. Just when you were “getting back to happy,” ‘ol boy you used to cry over slowly but surely starts trying to make his way back into your life. It all starts with a text, or a call, but once you start entertaining him, it’s hard to stop.

So, Madame Noire Says, If your ex-man does the following, it’s probably because he wants to get back right with you. It’s up to you to determine if you’re going to let it happen though…

He Does Sporadic Check-Ins

You thought he’d forgotten about you, but nope, your ex has some free time, you’re on his mind, and now he’s trying to call you after a long period of time. These calls are always pretty awkward, but the gist of it is to check and see how you have been, what you’ve been doing, and most importantly (to him), who you’ve been doing. Homeboy just wants to see if you’re available so he can start playing games: Start calling often, often enough that you’re anticipating/waiting for his phone call. And once that happens, he will woo you again, and in the end, you might end up falling for the same BS that you were trying to leave behind in the first place.

He Tries to Flatter the S**t Out of You/Reminisce Over You

I’m sure you’ve heard a compliment like this during one of those sporadic check-in calls: “Yeah so, are you seeing anybody? I know YOU can’t be single…” If that one isn’t good enough, there’s always a compliment that can be thrown around about how good you look in your new Facebook profile photo, or he might even tell you that he misses your smile, your eyes, specific body parts (inappropriate much?)–yada yada ya.
Constant inquiries into who you’re seeing covered in niceties and attempts to pump your head up are how an ex tries to get on your good side. All that, “I can’t believe you’re single, what man wouldn’t want you?” talk is for the birds…

He Feels the Need to Write You an Essay Through Social Media or Email to Explain His Past Choices

It’s one thing to tell someone you regret a past choice or past treatment of them, but it’s another to sit down and spend a good minute trying to get someone to understand your side in essay form. How many times have you received a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG Facebook message or email from an ex hoping to break down where he went wrong and doing so in the hopes that all will be forgiven? While he might get all mushy and have your feelings thrown for a loop as he talks about only “wanting you to be happy,” how he now regrets hurting “the best thing that ever happened to him,” and how he’s changed, you need to really remind yourself if what you had to put up with in your relationship and even right afterwards is something you want to possibly deal with in the future. If not, say thanks, but let him know you’ve moved on and can only be cordial–if you even want to be all that.

He Gets to Your Friends and Family

Word on the street is that he’s been calling or chatting with your sister or best friend about how much he misses you. Friends are really good at persuading you to give someone a chance (or a second chance that is) because they weren’t the ones being dogged out or hurt during YOUR relationship. If your mom or your sister thought you two were so cute and that you’re not giving him enough of a chance and could possibly be passing on a good thing (or a good, comfortable future), trust, they’ll be all in your ear (remember Savannah’s mom in Waiting to Exhale trying to get her go to back to a married man??). He might be able to persuade everybody else, but will he able to persuade you?

Talks Reckless to You About His New Girl

If you’ve decided to converse with your ex or to even try your hand at being friends, the conversation will probably soon land on his own relationship status. If he’s in a relationship at the moment, an ex trying to get back with you in the future might try and downplay the relationship and even make the new boo seem underwhelming or annoying: “She’s always saying ____,” or even worse, he’ll try and make some sort of comparison between you and the new chick. I wouldn’t be so quick to be taken by his forms of flattery in pretty much saying you’re the f’ing best, because if he’ll talk crazy about her, who says he wasn’t doing the same to you at one time?

He Calls With Nothing to Talk About

One thing ex-boyfriends need to understand is that it’s essentially a privilege to call a woman just about anytime of the day and chat it up–a privilege usually given to a good friend, an actual boyfriend or someone you’re being courted by. If you don’t have business, why are you calling? Why, to be in yours of course! Therefore, calling whenever he wants to so he can shoot the breeze with you about life isn’t a good idea. Once you talk to him one time on the phone for an hour or so about everything from your job to your friends, he thinks you are down with confiding in him again, and will try and make this a regular thing. You have to let him know, when the relationship ended, so did the opportunity for these types of happy-go-lucky/friendly correspondences.

Miley Cyrus says she's done Twerking.....Shall we all Rise and Praise The Lord!!!

Miley Cyrus is n*ked … again … but could her twerking days be over? According to the new issue of Rolling Stone, they are.

Following her 100% n*de music video for “Wrecking Ball,” the pop star is stripping down again for the magazine’s cover, covering her cleavage with her arms as she gets out of a pool in the buff.

And yes, she’s still sticking out her tongue.

Inside the issue, Miley says she hears what people are saying about her -- and she seems to understand the backlash."People are like, 'Miley thinks she's a black girl, but she's got the flattest ass ever,'" she says. "I'm like, 'I'm 108 pounds! I know!'"

Talking specifically about her infamous VMA performance, she adds "Now people expect me to come out and twerk with my tongue out all the time. I'll probably never do that s--t again.""I wasn't trying to be sexy,"...ya think?????

And she goes on to say..... "If I was trying to be sexy, I could have been sexy. I can dance a lot better than I was dancing."
Well, We'll believe it when we see it.

When Should Sex be Introduced in a Relationship?....

I know, I know....."premarital sex is a sin", true.

But I read an article posing this question and I had to share it, and throw it open  for discussion.....Read excerpts from the article culled from Your Tango

I got a call from a client earlier today that really annoyed me. She’d been out the night before on a first date. The guy asked her if she’d have sex with him, and when she said, “Not until I know you better,” he started getting annoyed and told he she was a tease.

I’ve been in the relationship business for nearly 20 years, and I can’t believe there are still men that behave like that. It’s one of the reasons I’m so determined to teach guys how to behave with, and communicate better with women.

You see here’s the truth…

Real men who are used to having sex, and men who understand women properly will NEVER attack a women for not having sex with him; especially only after one date!

Men who get angry when a woman won’t sleep with them are the ones who don’t have sex on a regular basis. They’re so hungry for sex, when they get an opportunity they become aggressive. Think of a dog that hasn’t eaten for days being thrown a steak.

A guy who reacts badly when you hold off from sex is telling you what sort of person he is. He’s pretty much saying, “I’m a very insecure guy who hasn’t had sex in ages. I’m so desperate for this opportunity because if I don’t sleep with you now, I may not get another shot for ages.”

Seriously, you need to keep away from this kind of “man.” They’re not emotionally mature enough for a relationship. Even if you like them, I guarantee it’ll end badly for you.

If a guy accuses you of teasing or leading him on, get rid of him as soon as you can. You can do so much better.

So what do you think? When should sex be introduced in relationships???. 1 month?, 2 months? , sometime? Or NEVER? ?. Lol.

Hiatus

Hey y'all! It's been close to a month since I blogged about anything. Pretty un serious huh? Lol. Question of the day:Does Romance Elude Successful Women?

Does this sound familiar? "I'm successful at work but just can't make it happen in love." If you are a single, successful woman over 30-35, who has excelled in academics and the professional sphere, it's not so easy to meet the right man.

It is believed that it hurts a man's ego to have a more successful wife and also that Successful women are not used to compromising, whereas all marriages need compromise to be successful.

Some men say that successful women intimidate men who are not very confident and have a point to prove. They hold back and wonder whether they will be accepted or the woman is high-maintenance."

It's widely accepted wisdom that women are attracted to power and success, while men are attracted to youth and beauty.

Some say It's all about luck. Successful women can definitely find love and have meaningful relationships and that it also depends upon the man she is involved with. Some can sustain their relationship, some don't. So air your views: Does romance elude successful women or not, and why?

MOST COMMON LIES WOMEN TELL MEN

Though there are claims that a woman's face is like an open book that reveals her state of mind(mine is sha), but men need to beware!

Better not take it as the last verdict, for irrespective of how much you trust and adore your little angel, women do lie to their significant others at times.......just like men.

Sometimes to carry off a situation without hurting his feelings or to save herself from trouble, while on occasions to contain her emotions and pose as Ms. Goody...popping casual, white lies is no big deal for women when it comes to playing it safe in the relationship.

White lies are no big blunders or massive betrayals, but small lies or 'truth manipulated' to handle a situation. At times she might fib to make her man feel better, to avoid a fight, or an embarrassing situation.

Here's a little help so that men can figure out when their adorable darling is not speaking her heart out and help them handle the situation with care.....and also to balance the scale a little concerning the premise that "mostly men lie in relationships"

Lie #1: "Oh! It's fine. I'm OK"

Guards on guys! You must know that she's not fine at all and nothing is OK. And sooner or later you will have to bear the brunt of her pent up emotions that she has somehow managed to hold back until now. You'll find her taking this emotional defense on occasions when you may have forgotten her birthday, taken her for granted or have done anything that hurts her.
To portray that she doesn't care, the emotional lady prefers taking a refuge in this lie.

Lie detector:
Well, an experienced lover would know of the crime that he has committed, but the amateurs should look out for her reactions. She might not get vocal, but will do everything to make you feel guilty about the fact that you have hurt her. From being tight-lipped to giving the briefest responses that don't go beyond 'hmms, huhs or yes and no', to mean tones and loads of sarcasm - are a few hints that you can look out for.
We Women have a tendency of expecting our man to understand the said, as well as the unsaid, and that leaves men in a dicey situation. And even here, by keeping quite or going away with a small 'I'm fine', we expect you to know that we hurt.

Lie # 2: "I love you for what you are"
...and I don't want you to change.

Well, may God be your saviour if you believe her for this. No wonders, if sheer pampering or impressing you might strictly be on her mind when she's saying this.

Agreed, that you don't like this lie. But just imagine how it would feel if to your face she told you how much she hated your paunch or how bad you looked in those lose-fitted denims. Thank her for appreciating you and taking care of your confidence levels.

Lie detector:
If you start observing the occasions when she backs this mushy phrase, you might just realise she's not lying at all. On most of the occasions it comes when you have made her happy with anything like a gift, a movie, a romantic dinner or for that matter by doing anything and everything that she loves. You were good to her and that's your innate quality, which made her fall for you.

Lie # 3: You stare, I don't care!

Either you are too lucky to have the coolest woman by your side, or you are getting an inflated ego without any reason if you believe her on this. No matter how hard she tries to look cool and composed, but the fact remains that no woman loves it when her man ogles at another woman. "After all, who wants to feel like second best? And the 'I don't care attitude' is usually to hide the vulnerability and a pretence. Most women hate their man staring at another woman.

Lie detector
She doesn't want to show you how she's feeling and is no less desperate to tell you that you are torturing her to the core. Well, easy indications to know she's lying can be the trail of questions she'll end up asking you. Casually and candidly she'll ask you things like 'Isn't she hot?' 'What makes her so hot? 'Did you like her?' She might appear to be your best buddy, but actually she wants to ask you, 'Do I score less that the chic you are ogling at?' And your answer will decide your fate not immediately, but definitely in the future, so better beware of what you say!

Lie # 4: Your friends are cool!

This might not be a lie always, but many a times your friends are nothing but a 'passion spoiler' for your girl, especially when they pop up during private moments.
Most of the times women end up praising your friends for you. They don't want to hurt you by revealing the truth and hope that you'll understand without saying, which usually doesn't happen.

Lie detector
A sure shot hint to the lie is written on her face. Despite being in the group she'll remain an outsider. The smile that's usually worth a million dollars might just look purely artificial and forced. Her replies to all your enquiries will end in a cover up lie, 'I'm fine sweet heart' or 'I'm enjoying myself' and that takes you to Lie #1. So, when you get something like this from your girl, understand that you are getting into too much buddy-bonding!

Lie # 5: Tell me, trust me I won't get angry

This one is tricky, leaving you with a ditch on one side and a bigger ditch on the other. This lie is usually thrown at you when she wants an honest opinion and knows what it can be, but still wants to hear it. Beware guys! Irrespective of what you say, she is going to get furious for sure. This usually happens in questions related to her looks, the food that she cooks, that tangy orange shirt she brought for you etc.

Lie detector
Well, there's no detector for this one, for undoubtedly she's lying. Then what's the solution? It's not that women cannot take true criticism from their man or expect praises all the time. But what they actually expect is that criticism should come in a softer and suggestive manner, rather than a striking taunt on her looks. So, without being too critical or over flattering, just tell her that she needs to work out on her minuses."

PHEW! Now it's your turn to share the sweet and salty white lies that you tell your man , or for the guys your woman pours on you to leave you playing a guessing game of true or false. hehehehhe. Fire on people!!!!!. :D

7 THINGS NEVER TO DO WHEN DRUNK

Its the "freak'n" weekend and i know a lot of y'all are all about partying, letting your hair down and painting the town blue-black.
Now, Drinking may be fun, but ensure that you don't have to bear the consequences.
Here's a tentative list of things to avoid doing when you have had a lil too much of your favourite chardonnay. ....

Drunk driving
This one is extremely serious. Not only are you risking your own life, but also that of the others in the car and those who are out on the road or in other vehicles. Make sure that you either take a cab back home or have a sober friend who can take over the task. It's not macho to drive when you are drunk.

Click pictures and upload them online
You do lose inhibitions when you are drunk, but if your drunken revelry finds its way online, it may cause a lot of trouble. Pictures that are loaded online can never be completely wiped off. You wouldn't want your boss to see your party pictures, right?

Drunk texting
Whether it's your friend or someone you are interested in, don't start a conversation with someone when you are drunk. You never know when your rather 'high' spirits may get you into some big trouble.

Get flirtatious with a stranger
Beauty does lie in the eye of the beerholder, but the illusion is bound to wear off once the beer haze passes away. You may end up regretting your actions the morning after your drunken revelry and do what is known as the 'walk of shame'.

Talk to your ex
Most people get highly emotional after a few drinks and dialling your ex will seem to be the perfect solution. Resist that temptation. It never helps to keep blabbering when you are high. In fact, you may end up quashing all chances of resurrecting your relationship with your drunken talk.

Respond to anything that's work-related
Well, you really don't want to mix business with pleasure. Sometimes, it is necessary to use a certain language while writing an official mail and you may just type things that you don't mean to. Ensure that your drunken state doesn't affect your career.

Get into a fight
When drunk, you may think that anyone who disagrees with you is committing a crime. But that is not the time to go about serving justice. Make sure that spats stay verbal and don't reach the physical level. You may not just end up with a black eye, but also a broken bone or two.....

Hasta la vista.. (did I get that right? ). Enjoy the rest of your weekend dearies....xoxo,  Jay.

Signs you may be over-sharing your relationship...

Sharing the intimate details of your life online is dangerous business and more often than not we don't realize where and when to draw the line. Some things are better off kept private. Here are a few signs that tell you whether or not you're over-sharing your relationship online.

1. Your friends know every detail of your relationship

Did you change your relationship status from 'single' to 'committed' after just a few dates? If your friends know your Saturday night plans or what you gifted your partner on their promotion it might be time to back off just a little.

2. You post everything up for approval

Are you obsessed with getting 'likes' and comments on your pictures and updates? If you like capturing every little moment and put it up online for adulation and approval its time to stop. Realise that people you hardly know unknowingly have a say on your life and you're only pining for that attention instead of warding it away.

3.You and your partner have more contact online than in person

If the two of you are incredibly busy with your lives but don't miss a chance to post some random bouts of affection for each other online, its time to think about how much of that PDA is real and how much is made up

4.You update your status on a date

The minute that romantic evening you had planned out for yourself begins, you feel the need to inform the entire world about it. You're also concerned about what others must be thinking of you after reading your update. This makes the experience more superficial than meaningful.

5.You're concerned about what others think of your partner

Over most things, you're swayed by the opinions of your friends and family based on what they see online. Sometimes even comments from acquaintances or complete strangers bother you.

What Goes Around Comes Around

Hello lovely readers,
I came across this inspiring piece on mr & mrs and thought to share it with y'all
I hope ot touches you like it touched me.

Read On.....

One day a man saw an old lady, stranded on the side of the road, but even in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His Pontiac was still sputtering when he approached her.

Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. Was he going to hurt her? He didn’t look safe; he looked poor and hungry. He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was those chills which only fear can put in you. He said, “I’m here to help you, ma’am. Why don’t you wait in the car where it’s warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson.”

Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an old lady, that was bad enough. Bryan crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two. Soon he was able to change the tire. But he had to get dirty and his hands hurt.

As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down the window and began to talk to him. She told him that she was from St. Louis and was only just passing through. She couldn’t thank him enough for coming to her aid.

Bryan just smiled as he closed her trunk. The lady asked how much she owed him. Any amount would have been all right with her. She already imagined all the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped. Bryan never thought twice about being paid. This was not a job to him. This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty, who had given him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it never occurred to him to act any other way.

He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance they needed, and Bryan added, “And think of me.”

He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight.
A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe. She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home. It was a dingy looking restaurant. Outside were two old gas pumps. The whole scene was unfamiliar to her. The waitress came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn’t erase. The lady noticed the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude. The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger. Then she remembered Bryan.

After the lady finished her meal, she paid with a hundred dollar bill. The waitress quickly went to get change for her hundred dollar bill, but the old lady had slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back. The waitress wondered where the lady could be. Then she noticed something written on the napkin.

There were tears in her eyes when she read what the lady wrote: “You don’t owe me anything. I have been there too. Somebody once helped me out, the way I’m helping you. If you really want to pay me back, here is what you do, do not let this chain of love end with you.” Under the napkin were four more $100 bills.

Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to serve, but the waitress made it through another day. That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the money and what the lady had written. How could the lady have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard… She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to her, she gave him a soft kiss and whispered soft and low, “Everything’s going to be all right. I love you, Bryan Anderson.”

There is an old saying “What goes around comes around.” xoxo,  Jay

Is Technology Killing Your Relationship? ??

Communication devices were supposed to help people stay connected. However, there seems to be a disconnect. Has technology failed us?

There was a time when couples would use the evening meal as a time to talk face to face about the day gone by, issues that had cropped up and problems that they faced. However, with the arrival of smartphones and computers and other communication devices, couples are turning away from conversing with each other and instead, are seeking company in their latest gadgets and toys. As a result, conversation with a partner is slowly dying out, silently killing relationships.

And while we cannot deny that technology has helped bring us closer in the virtual world, we need to examine whether we have paid a heavy price for that by letting our relationships in the real world drift apart.

According to a survey conducted abroad, about 80% of people avoid conversations as they are busy on their phone or laptop at the dinner table. About 76% of couples also revealed that silence envelopes the space between them in bed as they sit around surfing the net using their phone or laptops, without saying a word. Around 80% of people said they hate being interrupted when on their phone or laptop. People have become so obsessed with having a virtual presence that very few make it a point to socialise in the real world. This was evident when 98% of couples said they had never held a dinner party for friends, which was a common practice earlier. Couples now prefer to hangout with their friends on the net, using video conference or group messages.

We cannot shun technology as it has become a vital part of our lives. We have to make an effort to ensure that we are not enslaved by it. No amount of gadgets can replace the level of interaction that you experience when communicating face to face with a person. So, before technology kills conversation and our relationship with our closed ones, we have to take charge. Set boundaries and stick to them.

What you can do

Plan 'me time' with your partner and make a conscious effort not to use a communication device during this time.

Switch off your laptop or phone before going to bed, and while out for dinner with your partner, friends and family.

Avoid browsing the net on your phone or laptop while having a conversation with your partner as it's disrespectful.

Need To Add Some Weight Fast?: 47 High Calories Food To Help You Gain Weight

In this skinny-obsessed world that we live in, it's difficult to believe that anyone would be interested in learning about the food items which are bad for us since they have high-caloric content.
However, there are some naturally skinny women who actually prefer to have a figure like Omotola Jalade Ekeinde rather than the paper-thin weight of the Genevieve Nnaji. And if you want to do it in a healthy way, here are some high calorie foods that should be in your shopping cart!

1. BREAKFAST CEREALS
If you are on a gain-weight-fast diet program, just eat 10 or 20 grams more than the recommended portion size of your favorite breakfast cereal. A lot of your favorite breakfast cereals are high calorie foods, and they're a favorite snack for many people -- you don't have to stick to eating them at breakfast. Anyway, if you get carried away and overfill your bowl, you have the rest of the day to burn off those excess calories.

2. PASTA
A 2-ounce serving of cooked pasta contains only 75 calories. It's the rest of the ingredients, such as the meatballs on the spaghetti, which contribute to this being a high-calorie dish. Of course, pasta does have a lot of carbs, so it's apt to be more filling. You'll want to remember the ratio if you're trying to put on some extra pounds.

3. PEANUT BUTTER

Spread a couple of tablespoons of smooth, salted peanut butter on bread. It gives you 192 calories! Plus, there are dozens of other ways to eat peanut butter, from making milkshakes and smoothies to having a nice, gooey peanut butter and jelly sandwich. And don't forget, it's super high in protein, so it's not that bad for you, anyway!

4. CHOCOLATE NUT SPREAD
A 100-gram serving of chocolate nut spread has 541 calories so you'll really pack on the pounds by munching on these sweets. Nutellla is also increasing in popularity the world over, so it's easy to find pretty much wherever you live. You can follow the advice on the commercials and spread it on whole wheat toast, or you can just enjoy the delicious, chocolaty goodness of this high calorie food!

5. CHEESE
One serving of the good old cheddar cheese packs a good 69 calories. However, there are so many other, more decadent options you can choose from! How does a smear (or five) of warm, gooey brie sound right now? Maybe with some apples or pears, or spread on your favorite kind of cracker ... yum!

Cheese is basically concentrated milk, so its nutrition value is similar. This means high in protein and calcium but also high in fat, cholesterol and cheese calories.

6. DRESSINGS
Depending on the type of dressing and the amount that you will pour on to your favorite salad dish, it can pack 50 to as much as 85 calories for each 1-tablespoon serving. If you're trying to give yourself some curves, quit ordering your salads dry! Choose something delicious and creamy, like a Parmesan/peppercorn dressing. You can't get more delicious than that!

7. BUTTER/MARGARINE
Salted butter has 36 calories for each 5-gram serving. The calories should pile up, depending on the thickness of the butter or margarine that you'll spread on the bread. The great thing is, you don't have to relegate butter to a spread. Toss out the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter and start using the real thing in your day to day cooking when you don't want to be as slender as you are. Go all out, even, and try Julia Childs' roast chicken!

Eating butter increases the absorption of many other nutrients
in other foods.

8. CHOCOLATE

One mini-chocolate or candy bar can contain 37 calories. It tastes a lot more decadent than that, doesn't it? Different types of chocolate have different ratios, of course, but if you have a sweet tooth and you want to put on some extra weight, why not try them all? Chocolate, too, can be used in myriad ways, and there's no better time to experiment!

9. WHOLE WHEAT BREAD
You can eat healthy and pack on pounds at the same time by eating whole wheat bread instead of the overly processed white bread. One slice of the brown variant contains 69 calories. Make no mistake, it is healthier, since it's more natural than its processed counterpart. Even healthy nutrients can make you bulk up.

10. GUACAMOLE
Aside from being good for the heart, a creamy batch of guacamole ups the ante in your weight-gain program. A 261-gram serving contains as much as 360 calories. This is slightly off-topic, but eating a lot of guacamole -- and avocado, in general -- will also make your hair and skin extremely soft.

Avocado is one of the most recommended fruits as well as a food for bodybuilding and medicine for cholesterol-related heart disease.

11. YOGURT
The fruit-flavored, non-fat yogurt can give you as much as 118 calories for a 125-gram serving. Many people don't realize it's a high calorie food, because it is good when you're on a diet, as well. It's all about what kind you eat, and how much of it you eat.

12. PURE FRUIT JUICE
Aside from giving your body the vitamins and nutrients that it needs, pure fruit juices also pack a lot of calories. One ounce of the commercially-packaged fruit juice contains 57 calories. This is further proof that just because a food or beverage is high in calories doesn't mean it's not healthy in other ways. You need those vitamins!

13. BANANAS
One large banana contains 120 calories, and when you slice that up with your peanut butter sandwich or breakfast cereal, guess how many more calories you can get? This fruit is excellent for weight gain, but it won't be unhealthy. And bananas really are excellent when you eat them with other foods that are high in calories.

Bananas have the reputation for causing weight gain for good reason. They are very high in simple carbs. Eating a lot of them will make you gain weight but it probably won't be from muscle.

14. NUTS
All types of nuts are good for the heart, and are high in calories. Salted, roasted cashew nuts, for example, have 165 calories for each serving. Different nuts will have different calorie levels, of course, so it always pays to do a little nutritional investigating before you start munching on your favorite nuts.

15. OLIVE OIL
One tablespoon of the olive oils that you use at home contains 40 calories and it's healthier than the regular cooking oil that you use for frying. See? High calorie foods really are healthier alternatives sometimes. Not to mention, I think olive oil is the greatest invention ever. It's useful in so many ways!

Olive oil, which is pure fat, contains 1920 calories per cup. Any food that has a lot of fat in it will have a high calorie density.

16. LARD
If olive oil's healthy, just wait until you hear the caloric content of lard. One tablespoon has 115 calories! Even when you're trying to put on some more weight, you need to go easy on this one. Still, it definitely does have its place!

17. WHITE MEAT (CHICKEN)

Chicken breast, which is supposed to be the healthiest and fat-less part of this type of white meat, has 78 calories for each serving, which contains about 70 grams. It really is healthy, but hey. You can add additional calories depending on how you cook the meat. For example (again), Julia Childs' buttery roast chicken!

18. BACON
One thick slice of exquisitely satisfying bacon contains 174 calories, which is perfect for those who are trying to gain weight fast. That's a lot, but bacon is bacon. It's definitely high in calories, but so many people love it anyway!

19. SALMON
A 3-ounce serving of salmon contains 152 calories. That may seem like a lot, but again, it's still a healthy choice. Salmon contains many of the things the body needs. It's both healthy and heavily caloric -- and pretty delicious, if you enjoy fish.

The richest dietary source of Omega 3 fatty acids are cold-water fatty fishes such as Salmon, Tuna, Mackerel, Sardines and Hoki. Fish are a rich source EPA and DHA fats, the two most essential omega 3 fats.

20. BEEF
If you have a serving of beef strips for breakfast, three slices would cost you 153 calories. It's easy to believe, but as with bacon, sometimes, some folks just can't resist! Regardless, it will help you put on weight, although it depends on the cut as well.

21. PROTEIN BARS
Calories per serving: 150-250, varies by type of bar
Protein bars can also help you gain weight, mainly due to the ingredients within them. You need to be careful about what kind of protein or energy bar you choose, though, because they may have a lot of sugar as well. Most of all, make sure you choose one with plenty of protein per serving, because good proteins aid in healthy weight gain.

22. GRANOLA BARS
Calories per serving: 100-200, varies by type of bar
Granola bars are excellent high calorie snacks although, again, you have to be careful not to choose anything with too much sugar. Similar to protein bars, the calorie count here comes from the ingredients: in addition to oats and things, granola bars often include chocolate, nuts, and honey, all of which are high in calories.

23. SMOOTHIES
Calories per serving: 600-700, varies by type of smoothie and ingredients
Okay, so, you're probably thinking that smoothies are meant for losing weight. That's only true for some of them. If you pack in yogurt, milk, protein powder, and similar ingredients, you can get a seriously high calorie smoothie filled with foods that are fattening, yes, but still healthy.

24. ICE CREAM
Calories per serving: 200+, varies by type of ice cream
Some might say that ice cream is not a very healthy choice, BUT like with everything else, if you indulge every other time and not have it 3 times a day, then you should be  absolutely fine.  It's delicious, it's dense in calories and it's perfect for hot days.  Also, you can always opt for Organic Ice Cream if you want to gain weight in a healthier manner.

26. BERRIES
Calories per serving: 229+, varies by type of berries
Berries? High in calories? You bet! They make a great weight loss food, too, but that's when you're counting out small servings. If you eat yourself an entire pint of blueberries in your weight gain quest, you're getting a pretty good chunk of calories, but you're not having to deal with a lot of fat.

27. LOBSTER
Calories per serving: 111+, varies by size of lobster and amount eaten
Lobster makes a great high calorie food to indulge in when you're trying to gain weight because it's got so much protein. At the same time, it has very little fat, so it's not going to make you gain a lot of unhealthy fat. Lobsters get a bad rap, really, because as you can see, they're not that bad for you at all.

28. DOUGHNUTS
Calories per serving: 198-299, varies by type and size of doughnut
Doughnuts can be an amazing high calorie food, especially if you get them from a doughnut place that actually knows how to make them right.

29. SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK
Calories per serving: 130
That may not seem like a lot of calories, but you have to realize that most people don't use the entire can of sweetened condensed milk when they cook or bake with it. The average size is usually a tablespoon or so. So, if you want to put on weight, use this to sweeten your coffee. If you're trying to cut down and shed some pounds, stay away from the Carnation!

30. CHICKEN PIE
Calories per serving: Approximately 484
Pies in general are a high calorie food, but if it's chicken pot pie you actually have a real meal right there instead of just a dessert.  It's nutritious and it's delicious at the same time - a great way to get fat fast to have a few slices instead of bread with your meal.

31. BAKED BEANS

Calories per serving: 192-238, varies by brand and recipe
Whether you make your baked beans yourself or get them from a can, you're looking at a seriously high calorie food. If you add in pork or hot dogs, the numbers shoot even higher. Beans are generally a decent food, but baked beans are high in carbs and sodium. You get some protein as well, though, which kind of balances it out.

32. POTATO SALAD
Calories per serving: 358+, varies by recipe and ingredients
Potato salad, despite the word "salad" in it, has very little in common with other salads.  It's one of the highest in calorie salads one can find.  With all the mayo and the potatoes you are in for a very nutritious meal, add a few slices of bread and a fresh squeezed juice and you've got around 800 calories right there.  A very nice way to put on some weight!

33. DATES
Calories per serving: 270+, varies by size and type of date
Dates have a lot of calories too, but the thing is, they're still good for you. 100 grams of a Medjool date will give you 277 calories, while the same amount of Deglet Noor dates have 282 calories. However, if you eat a cup of them chopped, you're looking at 415 calories.

34. EGGS
Calories per serving: 54+, varies by size of egg
Can you imagine! One small egg contains 54 calories; a medium egg has 66; a large egg contains 74; an extra large egg goes up to 85; and a jumbo sized egg contains 96 calories. Have a cup of eggs, you're looking at around 357 calories. However, regardless of what you might have heard, eggs, in addition to being high calorie foods, are actually really good for you.

  35. SAUSAGE
Calories per serving: 68+, varies by type of sausage
Sausage varies by type but in general they are very high in calories.  There is a wide selection of organic sausages available today, so you can indulge without worrying about all the antibiotics and additives that can be found in conventional sausage.  From classic hot dogs to sassy Italian spicy sausage, you'll sure find the right high calorie sausage that you'll like.

36. DARK CHOCOLATE
Calories per serving: 501 in 100g
Chocolate lovers, rejoice! Dark chocolate given its high calorie content is a great addition to your diet if you're looking to gain weight. Besides being delicious, dark chocolate is also heart healthy and is known to lower high blood pressure and and LDL cholesterol (the bad kind). Just remember the darker it is, the better!

37. SOYBEANS

Calories per serving: 376 in 1 cup (256 g)
Another healthy, high calorie food is the nutty, delicious soybean. Eat them as they are, boil them, steam them or try them in the form of soy milk or even soy yogurt. Not only are they rich in protein (which makes them a great substitute for meat btw) but are also a rich source of calcium, iron and several B-vitamins and fiber. They also lower your risk for osteoporosis and reduce symptoms of menopause! Oh soybean, is there anything you can't do?

38. BROWN RICE
Calories per serving: 216 in 1 cup
I tend to stay away from rice but if I must eat it, I make sure that it is brown rice. It may not look as appetizing but it is definitely more fiber rich and nutritious than its white, polished counterpart. It is an incredibly rich source of manganese, providing over 85% of your daily requirements in just a single cup! It is also full of selenium as well as fiber, and that means it will keep you satisfied for hours after you consume it.

39. AVOCADOS

Calories per serving: 160 in 100 g
Avocados are one of the healthiest high calorie foods you can find. They are a rich source of lutein, Vitamin E and folic acid and are known to lower your cholesterol, keep your heart healthy and make an effective "happy food". Let's not forget that they taste absolutely divine! Try them in salads, sandwiches, dips or of just stick to the good 'ol "scoop and eat" method...

40. MANGOES
Calories per serving: 130 cal in 1 med mango
Did you know that in some countries mangoes are called the king of fruits? What a befitting title considering how GOOD they taste and how wonderful they are for you. They have tons of fiber and Vitamin A, aid in digestion, keep your skin glowing, normalize insulin levels in blood and contain a lot of tryptophan making it yet another "happy food".

41. COCONUT MILK
Calories per serving: 250 cals in 100 g
I'm a huge fan of Thai food and part of what makes so much of their food taste so good is coconut milk! Unfortunately this tasty ingredient is also often misunderstood. Yes, it does have a whopping 85 to 90 per cent saturated fat but at the same time is anti-carcinogenic, anti-microbial, anti-bacterial and anti-viral! When it comes to coconut milk, moderation is key and if possible, stick to the organic kinds.

42. WHEAT GERM
Calories per serving: 360 in 100 g
I first heard about wheat germ from a friend who was on a weight gain plan. Essentially it is a powdery substance, derived from wheat kernel embryos that is high in calories and folic acid, but contains only half a gram of saturated fat per serving. Stirring 1/4 cup of wheat germ into pudding or yogurt will add upto 120 calories to your meal!

43. BAGELS AND BREADS
Calories per serving: Up to 280 in 100 g
From whole wheat to rye to pumpernickel to seasame seed to raisin and nut to Sourdough, there's a bread and bagel for every mood and every day of the week! Plus there are a thousand different ways to devour them: with jam, cheese, hummus, peanut butter...Must.stop.now. Seriously, I cannot think of a more delicious way to add calories to your diet!

44. BAKED SWEET POTATO
Calories per serving: 162 in one large potato
As one of those people who believes that potatoes are one of God's best creations, I will find any excuse to eat one, high calorie food or not. If you're looking to gain weight add a baked sweet potato as a side dish. Sweet potatoes are much more rich in vitamins than their white counterparts. Don't forget to add a dab of butter, sour cream or even low fat yogurt to increase the calorie count and make them finger lickin' good!

45. WHOLE MILK
Calories per serving: 146 in 1 cup
If skim milk is great for weight loss, whole milk will most definitely give you the extra calories you need to gain weight, not to mention more calcium and protein. If you're like me and can't stand plain milk, try smoothies! They really are life-savers. Blend a couple of your favorite fruits (bananas, mangoes and strawberries are my favorite combination) with a cup of milk and half a cup of yogurt and some sugar. Mmm...

46. CREPES(PANCAKES)
Calories per serving: 112-158 in 1 crepe depending on type
I have always had a weak spot for these deliciously light French pancakes. They're easy to make, easy to experiment with and most importantly oh-so-good to eat! Of course moderation is key when it comes to crepes and once you've mastered the basic recipe, you can pretty much unleash your creative side with them

47. CRAB MEAT
Calories per serving: 160 in 1 cup cooked crab
Of course this isn't a very pocket friendly addition to your diet (if it is, oh how I'm jealous!) but it's okay to indulge in this crustacean once in a while. They are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, protein, vitamin E and Vitamin B-12.

Few things that taste this good are also this healthy. What do you know, there is a God after all! :D

This list works well for those who are watching their diet, too.

Remember that if you would like to reach your weight gain (or weight loss) goals, learning as much information as you can about the food items that you pile on your grocery cart helps a lot.
It's all a matter of choice on whether you would like to pack on a few more pounds to be a la-J Lo, or if you would rather shed off the excess weight and strictly watch your diet. It's important to know about high calorie foods, no matter what your weight or your goals.
Being comfortable with your body and being happy with what you're eating is what's important.

REMEMBER!

Remember that being obsessed with counting the calories that you consume will only work if you know exactly how calories are being used up by your body. When you eat a big fat, juicy burger, for example, there is no need to burn off ALL those calories in one super-intense exercise session. Your body does need to retain some calories to serve as a fuel to the normal functions of the heart and the lungs, so some high calorie foods are essential.
