There's no better way to lift your mood in the gloomy weather than pampering yourself. But since you cannot venture out due to the incessant rain, here's how you can give yourself a facial at home.
Cleansing is a must
Use a gentle cleanser with some warm water. Make sure that you choose one that is suitable for the weather — like a soy-based cleanser works wonders during the Dry season.
Steam for a clearer complexion
Getting a facial steam is the best way to not only rejuvenate your skin but also treat cold during the rains. Heat water in a pot and drape a towel over your head and let your skin absorb the steam for five minutes. Instead of scrubbing, this can be a great way to exfoliate your skin and cleanse out embedded dirt while hydrating your skin.
Pamper yourself with a massage
Choose a gel-based lotion to massage your face. Aloe vera gel or rose gel would be an ideal option. Massage your skin for approximately 10-15 minutes.
Follow it up with a facial mask
The next step is to prepare a facial mask with ingredients available at home. You can mash a banana and combine it with avocado or freshly squeezed citrus juice and add a drizzle of olive oil to it. Apply this paste on your face and leave it on for 15-20 minutes before you wash it off with water.
